Genesis of Cardboard
Chapter 1
The First Cards
- 1The Church does not teach what came before the First Printing. The Church has been asked. The Church changes the subject.
- 2In the Age Before Foil every card was equal, and no one checked a price, because there was nothing to check.
- 3And it was fine. Historians describe it as fine.
- 4Then came the First Printing, and with it the rare slot, and with the rare slot, hope.
- 5And hope was sealed in foil, and the foil was placed upon a shelf, and a hand reached for it.
- 6And the hand opened the pack. And behold: a common.
- 7And the hand opened another.
- 8Thus began the chase, which has not ended, and which the Church does not expect to end before the next set releases.
